The V35 Nissan Skyline first became available in June 2001.  It is a luxury high performance dream ride and has extensive changes in the design and engineering from previous Skylines.  It is available in several versions, the most popular being the 350GT 2-Door Coupe.  Other engine variants come in the 300 GT and 250 GT, which are popular as a 4-Door family sedan option.

The V35 is available in 2.5, 3 and 3.5 litre V-6s, featuring the latest in engine development like E-VTC (Electro-magnetic variable valve timing control) and Nissan’s newly developed direct-fuel-injection for improved responses and better fuel-economy over the previous inline-6 RB-series.

The 2.5 L VQ25DD performs to 215hp and the 3.0 litre to 260hp, making the Skyline’s engines the strongest of its class.  The normally aspirated engine almost reaches the same output of the previous turbo engines, making the turbo’s unnecessary.  All engines have either a five-speed or a 4-speed automatic transmission.  Some later model 350 GT’s have the 6-speed option.

The V35 is a luxurious sporty vehicle, offering the prestige of a BMW without the price tag.  Available as both a 2-door and 4-door, it is a definite winner for the driver with style – the best car of its class.
