Mitsubishi Delica – L400
Due to the many variants available, Delica's are bought in on order to Carmen's very high standard.

The L400 Delica is an exceptional vehicle found to be popular with families and retirees.  It is equipped with four-wheel drive, high and low ratio gears and differential locking, giving it full off-road capabilities.  It has engine variations from a 2.8 L inter-cooled turbo diesel to a 3.0 L V6 petrol engine.  The Delica is available in both long and short wheelbase versions.  It is also available in 7-seat and 8-seat variants; and low and high roof.

In 1997 the Delica Space Gear was upgraded with a facelift model.  The upgrade is mostly cosmetic with changes to the lighting clusters and front body panel, with the integration of a moulded bumper in place of the original three section nudge bull-bar.  The engine was upgraded with an electronic control type distribution type jet pump and an electronic sidestep was made standard on most versions.  It also has a much improved INVECS II Gearbox.

Production of diesel Delica’s slowed in 2002.  Therefore, it is much more common to find the petrol variants available for import.  The Delica is a great off-road vehicle for camping lovers, and a practical option for a people mover around town.
